Phoenix Fashion Week Stirs Up Some Stuff

Phoenix Fashion Week Stirs Up Some Stuff

All things fashion … did I ever tell you that I had hopes of becoming a fashion designer? In high school, I would create patterns out of newspaper and then cut fabric—dodging shag carpet fibers with the scissors—and sew while sitting on the floor. So this romp was especially interesting from the get-go.

My marketing colleague, Kim Halmekangas, and I found our way around the vendors, the fashionable, and the bar for a beverage. We took the opportunity to introduce DNA Marketing services to the startup entrepreneur designers around the runway.

Exploring the local scene and taking in the style, I gathered inspiration for scenes in future films… got great ideas for clients on the fringe of fashion (and some inspiration for a designer) … oh, and possibly conjured up a design for my dress befitting the Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story premiere red carpet event!

Speaking of the red carpet. Here I ran into documentary film producer, William Caple III. He was doing his magic for fashion week with the cameras and the crew. We took a moment for a heart-to-heart hug and exchanged details that we found alluring.

annapawlenty-tamaraparisio-sqI was snagged for an interview with Anna Pawlenty — we both hail from Minnesota and find ourselves in the heat of things here in Arizona! Her presence at Phoenix Fashion Week provided coverage for the event, WamT Magazine, and Buzz TV Las Vegas.

We talked about fashion statements — how what you wear can spark an idea, establish an alliance, create a link. And, we explored the moviement of Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story — how we all are wired for conflict and connection.

Phoenix Fashion Week introduced me to designers making their way with style! And, in the realm of possibilities, we planted seeds of interest for a designer (or three) to do the wardrobe for our film.

Then I had the honor of spending time with the remarkable Louanna Faine of Real Talk Enterprise. From a childhood of trauma to a life of peace, acceptance, and assisting others, Louanna forges ahead, “changing lives one story at a time.”

We did a deep dive about Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story and how the film juxtaposes day to day situations with the underlying belief systems, programs, and conditioning that brings people together in communion and collaboration or opposition and enmity. This love story reveals the patterns that many experience as they follow the fairy tale of falling in love, getting married, and living happily ever after… after what? Well, we just can’t wait till you see the movie!

So much to explore, so little time! We were ushered off to see the couture runway show that wrapped up Phoenix Fashion Week 2016.  The fabulous Yasmeen sang her heart out with “Selfish” as we enjoyed her name in lights! Kudos to Barbara Bultman who earned the distinction of emerging couture designer of the year.

Late in the evening, we sashayed home with a heart full of style, kinship, relation, and meaning.

Stay tuned. More to come.

Three Wise Women Cross the Desert in Search of GOD.

Three Wise Women Cross the Desert in Search of GOD.

It all started with an idea to reach out to like-minded people who are out to change the world—the influencers. When I realized that one of our favorite influencers would be holding an event only a seven-hour drive away, I alerted the team! And, as the multiverse would have it, our producer/partner Dana Jones and her husband Gene of EICM would be spearheading a Waste Conversion Conference in San Diego during this time (and there was room at the inn!).

3WiseWomenIn a twist to the classic tale, we didn’t ride camels—though I was sitting in a camel colored seat within a camel colored car…. We did bring gifts—books, a CD, and heart-to-heart hugs. And we wore essential oils. So our story continues to unfold.

The film trilogy includes reflections from GOD—an essential “character” in the scheme of things. And we aim to surprise you, enlighten you, and amuse you with this omni-presence. We reached out to expand the eventuality for the GOD character (knowing that GOD can appear in many ways). And, this time, it isn’t Morgan Freeman!

VishenLakhiani.SherryAnsharaOur search landed us in La Jolla, California where we met with Vishen Lakhiani, CEO of mindvalley and orchestrator of A-Fest. Over breakfast and up until lunch, we connected in a corner booth and talked about the realm of possibilities.

With this collaboration, we have made another quantum step forward in this movie-ment. On our way, we met so many wonderful people. Another soul sister, Ange McNally, Chief Listening & Empowerment Officer (CLEO) of Mind & Matter, who was, like us, dressed in black & white, connected with us in the coffee line (flash back to Traci and Dana).

thenFOURwiseWOMENAnge is from upper Arlington, OH where Sherry Anshara cleared a building for her dear friend and client, Catherine Vonderahe, who opened the successful South of Lane Cafe (the first restaurant, ever, in upper Arlington—and it rocks with intentional success). There, intentions were set with words written all over the walls. Small world. Gigantic connections.

Our journey included making the acquaintance of Pierre Chammas, owner and CEO of MegaFuel in El Cajon, CA, who saved the day after Kearny Pearson Ford declined (can you say, #fail) filling air in the tires of our ride—the camel-colored Ford Explorer. Just down the road from this Ford dealership was the oasis known as MegaFuel where Pierre assisted us with kindness (and he would not take a tip for his efforts—insisted we donate it to those in need). Blessings indeed.

So many wonder-filled moments completed this leg of a journey. We continue to experience the joy of stepping in the direction of our dream. And we can’t wait to entertain you with enlightenment.

As Sherry Anshara reports, “Today I am grateful the fabulous weekend whirlwind to San Diego and LaJolla to meet Vishen Lakhiani with Tamara Parisio and Dana Jones. What a fabulous two and half hours we spent together, connecting in heartness, talking about consciousness, and sharing about the tools of the QuantumPathic Energy Method. What a gift Vishen is to this world. In gratitude, gratefulness and thankfulness for this entire weekend—connecting, laughing, and, some shopping too!”

We couldn’t have said it better. —Heartness, Tamara

Setup Stories — Charmed … Write On! Tamara’s Tale.

Setup Stories — Charmed … Write On! Tamara’s Tale.

The year opened for me with inspiration. In one of the many exercises I engaged to assist my continued growth, I chose a word for my year. Charmed. That summed up the feeling I intended to embrace in all that I would experience in 2016.

In January, I was working on designing the cover for a book by Sherry Anshara. The artwork flowed into being, capturing layers of meaning with shapes and colors. Sherry Anshara expressed delight with the cover, and I expressed my desire to do more creative projects as I was feeling my way into a sense of purpose. So, in February, Sherry Anshara told me there was a movie in the works, and she said I was the one to create the movie poster.

My heart jumped with joy. I love to create imagery. I enjoy getting lost in words—writing, reading, wordsmithing witty ditties and wise cracks. Throughout life, my work experience grew through advertising, marketing, and entrepreneurship. I became a self-proclaimed Creative Everything Orchestrator.

It is said that your dominant thoughts shape your life. My intentions were set on finding my tribe, getting focus for my writing, finding a way to express my voice … I was open to opportunity and to possibilities of aligning with a sense of purpose. I expressed my intentions to Sherry Anshara. She replied that she knew just the crew.

teatime-charmedSo, Sherry Anshara invited me to tea. There she introduced me as the artist for the book cover and “the one who will create the poster for our movie.” I was surrounded by spirited women who were supportive and appreciative of life. Goddesses. Including Traci Bogan.

At this tea, it was discussed that there was difficulty getting a screenplay, finding a writer. I had invited a friend with screenwriting experience to join us, and to consider the role. She was hesitant and chose not to participate.

The conversation revealed that it was critical to get a Treatment for the documentary in order to fetch funding. I realized, “I can do that.” And then, I added, “and let me take a crack at the screenplay.”

Next, Sherry Anshara introduced me to the QuantumPathic Productions LLC team via the weekly conference call. I received the seeds of ideas for the characters Emma Alden (surviving twin sister to stillborn Anna), a woman who rose through poverty to become a doctor to the poor, plus her parents, John and Sophia, and Michael Broderick/Roderick IV, a millionaire playboy plagued with a deadly illness, plus his parents, Bunny and Michael III … and an initial concept for a documentary-drama ala What the Bleep Do We Know? that the team—the Core Four—had developed during the prior seven months. Like seeds of wildflowers strewn in a garden, these ideas took root and provided flowers I could cultivate and arrange into a bouquet of a story.

With that, I wrote the Treatment. The treatment flowed easily. I carved out the three areas of the film: Set Up, Conflict, and Resolve with QuantumPathic concepts addressing the drama. Then, I attacked the screenplay. It helped to have experienced the film industry in various freelance jobs throughout my career. And, my study of writing in all forms includes regard for the art of the screenplay. Thus, I wrote, and I envisioned a story. Not a documentary, nor a docudrama, but a drama. One that unfolds—just like life.

As the script developed, I reinterpreted the characters to provide story opportunities and support scalable events. Characters stepped up from my life experiences and from the many “works in progress” I have in the coffers. This allowed me to explore many belief systems and programs of the human experience … and further expose the QuantumPathic concepts around them.

I asked myself, “Why would this character do this?” and “What is the underlying motivation?” to develop the story line. I looked for “pressure points” or how characters push each others’ buttons and engage the underlying programs or belief systems that affect us. With that, I continued to flesh out the dance of conflict and connection, and weave in my experience of the QuantumPathic Energy Method. Then, in my research about Sherry Anshara, I was compelled by the hospital presentations she held with doctors, nurses, and staff. And, this became part of the story.

So I carved out the details for each scene. The work transformed from a docu-drama to a drama—reflective of life. The screenplay emerged as a love story—with insight. The opportunity surfaced to reveal a bigger picture than a documentary, with potential to engage a wide audience with the promise of entertainment and enlightenment. With about 65 pages complete, I reached out to get alignment before spending more time on the script.

In a meeting with documentary director, William Caple III, and QuantumPathic Productions owner and executive producer, Sherry Anshara, I presented this turn in direction. It was readily embraced. Our enthusiasm grew. This would attract a larger audience than just the documentary. It would have broad appeal with entertainment value. It would reflect QuantumPathic Energy Method practices relative to life. At Coconuts over fish tacos, William Caple III shared tips for writing for the screen while Sherry Anshara interjected Quantumpathic reflections. I left the meeting with a heart full of energy.

Two weeks later, after sleepless nights and days fueled by enthusiasm, I delivered the approximately 120 page screenplay. Next, I had the joy of reading aloud the script for executive producer, Sherry Anshara, and producers Dana Jones and Traci Bogan. We sent it out to a few contacts for review and reflection. The feedback was entirely encouraging!

“Seetha [Demarco] read the script to me tonight.. so we could hear it.. and feel it..  we cried at several places, OMG I love it!” — Sherry Anshara

“Read the script this afternoon. Made me cry at least half a dozen times, all good.” — Keith Frost

“Once I started I couldn’t stop reading it…… It’s excellent! It really is! I love the characters and I like the way it flows.” — Bobbie Meola

“I have read the script and think it’s really compelling. I was impressed how you weaved the concepts through the story line so well and the comments by the doctors seem organic to the
story.” — Kristin Jackson

“This is so exciting, creating newness with this film. Thrilling! — Cindie Hubiak

With my background in advertising and marketing, I couldn’t help but put marketing tactics in motion—it was only natural that I be assigned the role of Chief Marketing Officer for the film. Please join us on this journey via Twitter, Facebook, and other platforms.

While creating the marketing plan, it became apparent that the title (which at the time was Another Bleeped Up Love Story ) was not correct. Because the story is more. So we revised it to be more powerfully indicative of the film, a love story that entertains and enlightens: Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story.

And, the Documentary Why Are We Still So Bleeped Up?!? continues to evolve (check it out on Facebook).

Thus, the journey continues. I am honored to be on such a fabulous team with the visionary concepts of Executive Producer, Sherry Anshara, the insights of Documentary Producer/Director, William Caple III, the pioneering expertise of Dreampreneur,  Traci Bogan, the contagious enthusiasm of Entrepreneur, Promotions and Events Specialist, Dana Jones, and the business acumen of Developer, Philanthropist, and Teacher, Keith Frost.  It is our intention to bring this to you in full manifestation so we can all SHARE THE LOVE in 2017. Enjoy.

Charmed, for sure. Oh, and remind me to tell you about the four leaf clovers that Dana Jones finds for us … that’s another tale!

The setup stories commemorate year one of developing the documentary “Why Are We Still So Bleeped Up?!” to educate about QPEM and the film “Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story” that entertains and enlightens with a story based on the truth.

Setup Stories — Once and Done… Over and Over and Over Again for Keith

Setup Stories — Once and Done… Over and Over and Over Again for Keith

I was introduced to Sherry Anshara and QuantumPathic Center of Consciousness by Traci Bogan. Before I go into the details of that introduction, I desire to give a little backstory about myself and my relationship with Traci.  When I got married for the second time neither my wife or I required a large wedding so we agreed to go to Hawaii with my soon-to-be stepdaughter and have a small ceremony with my Hawaiian friends including one of my best friends from high school, Ross. He had moved to Hawaii about 10 years prior. Ross bought a “date” to the wedding who I had never met, thus I was introduced to Traci Bogan.

My wife and I were married on the beach in Waikiki and had a reception on the veranda at the Moana SurfRider Hotel—the first Hotel on Waikiki—with about 20 guests.  For our honeymoon, we stayed in Waikiki and then spent time on Molokai with my recent friend Dr. Johnie. Ross and Traci joined us for a few days at Dr. Johnie’s Estate. I never would’ve guessed at the time that Traci, Dr. John and I  would become not just friends but ‘family’ for what has now been over 25 years. My friendship with Traci grew over the years. We also became travel companions, having fantastic experiences together. From sailing thru the Greek Isles to Canal trips through France, to  being able to touch a gray whale in San Ignacio lagoon in Mexico’s Baja Sir, to Alaskan and European Cruises.

I discovered that Traci is an extremely committed and hard-working individual. She is dedicated to making a difference in other people’s lives as well as discovering herself. She is constantly searching to improve herself by connecting with many spiritual and inspirational icons. Always looking to take another class, to enroll in another seminar, read another book or write another book, experience another perspective. She truly is a lifelong learner and seeker.

Traci is also a person determined to have a positive impact on not just her own life but on others’ whether adopting a school in China on her world tour or spearheading legislation that increased the statue of limitations for sex crimes against children. Once Traci commits to something she is bound and determined, and follows through to completion. The same is true of her personal growth and development.

That being said it’s no surprise that over the years I have been contacted by her and involved in various ways with Traci’s business endeavors, personal growth and outreach efforts. So, enter Sherry Anshara and the QuantumPathic Energy Method (QPEM).

Traci told me of her encounter with Sherry Anshara which led her to take one of the QPEM workshops. Traci summed it up by saying “Keith you know me and all the things that I’ve been involved with: classes, seminars, workshops, professionals, practices, etc., that I’ve done over the past my adult life. You know how many of them were very useful and helpful. But, I got more out of a three day seminar with Sherry that all of those combined. You have to do this!”

This certainly wasn’t the first time I was enrolled in something Traci had discovered. So, based on our relationship, I called Sherry Anshara and did a few individual phone sessions then signed up for a three day workshop.

I had recently been disappointed with the ending of a seven-year relationship , so saw this as a possibility to navigate through the transition, move forward and be done. I told Traci I would do this, and I wanted to be clear this was definitely a one time thing. “One and done for me.” I lived on the other side of the country and had a busy life of my own. I didn’t want to get involved in something that would distract me from my current life! On Thanksgiving day I flew out to Scottsdale to participate in the the QPEM three day workshop—Healing Your Core. One and done quickly went out the window as I signed up for another three day seminar—Head to Heart, where I also meet Dana Jones!

keithfrost-with-olivia-qpemTraci and Sherry Anshara shared with me their intentions to make a movie bringing forth QPEM to the world. Seeing the effects that it had in my life, I knew I desired and required to get involved with bringing this forward and assisting others to remove whatever blocks they have to discovering their own heartness. I was invited to meet with the core four originators of the QPEM movie projects, so I delayed my flight back and met with William Caple III, the documentary director/producer and Traci Bogan, Dana Jones, and Sherry Anshara. From that point on I have been a part of the team and assisting in the project for fundraising efforts, participating in weekly conference calls and repeated trips back as required.

As a final note, working with children has always been a calling for me. My most recent trip to Scottsdale this summer to assist at QP for a week resulted in extending my stay—which has become a pattern—and staying for another seminar which was attended by a mother and her 11-year-old daughter, Olivia. The transformation for Olivia, who had suffered a dramatic brain injury that adversely affected her for four years, was truly remarkable. Not only were immediate results clearly visible for Olivia, but the adults in the room were clearly learning from our new teacher, an 11-year-old girl.

In addition to my intentions of bringing forth the documentary project, Sherry Anshara and I are aligned to start a school to bring this work forward to teach—as we call them—“the new kids on the block.” They truly are the future and I am truly inspired at the thought of being able to assist them!

The setup stories commemorate year one of developing the documentary “Why Are We Still So Bleeped Up?!” to educate about QPEM and the film “Not Just Another Bleeped Up Love Story” that entertains and enlightens with a story based on the truth.

Setup Stories — Will’s Quantum Path

Setup Stories — Will’s Quantum Path

The ceilings were low and the music was loud in this particularly dark dive bar on the edge of Old Town Scottsdale. I’d never been to this particular bar before, and would probably not ever find myself here again. A crew member and I were setting up for a typical two hour recording of a local band. This day was stand-out unique because it was the Fourth of July concert celebration at the bar, even though the Fourth was a couple of days off.

I was busy setting up the light to shine on the lead singer when a woman approached and asked if I was a camera man. Reluctantly, I said  “Yes.” Why? Because I was certainly operating a camera and I have had that title applied to me many a time before. But I was much, much more. I had been running cameras for the better part of 15 years, but was more accurately a Producer and Director, not to mention the owner of my own production company for the last ten years. After I relayed this to the woman, she was ecstatic.

So I met Ms. Traci Bogan. She was a happy, enthusiastic type with a warmth you get from most people. She was smiling ear to ear, and looked at me as if I was a Godsend. She said, “Oh my God, you’re a producer!?” And without a breath, she continued, “You have to meet my friend. She’ll be here any minute.”

Enter, stage North, Ms. Sherry Anshara. She walked in with the presence of a sage, but the look on her face said, ‘Where the hell am I?!’ I’m almost certain she was thinking that. Traci called her over. Immediately, Traci explained this serendipitous moment, and exclaimed, “I found our producer!”

I agreed to meet with them over the phone in the future, we kicked off the documentary “Why Are We Still So Bleeped Up” … and the rest is history.

Share Heart-to-Heart Hugs

Share Heart-to-Heart Hugs

Around the world, humans are hugging loved ones liver to liver. Instead, let’s embrace heart to heart! Here is the technique. It has long been forgotten, and we are working to remind the world of heart-to-heart hugs.

HOW TO HUG HEART TO HEART

Heart to heart embraceLean to the right. Bring together left shoulders to come together heart-to-heart, embrace one another, and share heart energy (add a kiss if you desire). When we hug heart to heart, our energy fields expand together.

Lead by raising your left arm and dipping your right arm. What happens when you do this? In this time of creating a habit with the heart-to-heart hug, the other person may get thrown off balance, take a miss step, or stop in their tracks with an inquisitive look.

If this happens, take a moment and explain that “this is a Heart-to-Heart Hug.”

njabuls-heart-to-heart-slowdanceLike a dance, this hug is choreographed by leading with left arm raised, taking a slight dip to the right, and embracing so that our hearts physically connect, sharing heart feelings; love, compassion, empathy.

SHARE HEART ENERGY—NOT LIVER ENERGY

This is a shift from our current habit of hugging with our right shoulders coming together. In this embrace we share the energy of our livers where our emotions of anger, resentment, and trauma are stored. No thank you!

Instead, let us come together in heartness. Connect and share appreciation with each other—hugging stimulates your nervous system, decreases loneliness, combats fear, increases self-esteem, defuses tension.

Open your heart to give and to receive. Linger in the embrace. Go through the moment of discomfort and allow your self to relax. Take a breath. Feel the gentle drumming of two hearts in a chord of accord.

HUG YOUR WAY HEALTHY

“We need 4 hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.” — Virginia Satir

A hug has an almost immediate impact on health, lowering heart rate and inducing a calming effect while also leading to an improved mood! Hugging is as beneficial for the person giving the hug as for the person receiving the hug due to the reciprocal nature of touch.

Your body produces oxytocin in response to physical touch. The neuropeptide oxytocin, released by your pituitary gland, is a naturally occurring hormone in your body with incredibly powerful, health-giving properties.

WRAP UP YOURSELF IN HEART TO HEART HUGS

So, hugging is an incredible way to bond with others and to boost physical, and emotional, health. Make an effort to hug the people close to you and get hugs in return! Make every hug a hearty heart-to-heart hug.
